ADLG German Open Individual Championship 2023 in Braubach

On March 25th and 26th, 2023, the third official German ADLG tournament took place at the Marksburg in Braubach. The German Open Individual Championship this year allowed lists starting from 1050 AD, it was therefore a Middle Ages themed tournament. However, there were no geographic restrictions, which resulted in an extraordinarily diverse array of army lists.

Fortunately, also the field of participants was very international: it was a great pleasure for us to welcome players from England, France, Belgium, Switzerland, Spain/Italy, Germany and even from as far away as Uganda. It was a chance to meet good friends, who have been coming to Braubach for decades, as well as friendly first time visitors at the Marksburg, whom it was a great pleasure to get to know. The atmosphere was friendly, the games exciting, the exchange around them enlightening and interesting and the many conversations, sometimes especially multilingual, were extremely entertaining. Could you wish for more? We would like to thank all participants for a successful wargaming event!

The Marksburg shone auspiciously under the rainbow...

...and waited again for the crowd of wargamers.

They had already strengthened themselves the night before...

...and bolstered their courage with a few drinks.

Here we go!

A beautiful camp element adds an exotic touch!

And this fortified camp can only be conquered by a true fairytale prince.

Oh, the dice!

Congratulations to the top three!

The end of the first day of play in a relaxed atmosphere

What would the hobby be without the socializing?

And that gladly until late at night! Many thanks to all participants and see you the next time! Vielen Dank! Merci beaucoup et à la prochaine!
